My New Hope... for my MS!

EXCITING NEWS!........Finally the time has come where myself and all other MS sufferers have hope on the horizon to be relieved from some or all of our symptoms!

It has been in the news since the Fall of 2009 when ground-breaking research was released by Dr Zamboni, an Italian neurologist.

He began his research into MS with the desire to cure his wife. Unhappy with the answers that he could find he decided to research what actually causes MS himself.

What he found was ''that in a large percentage of MS patients they had abnormal veins in their neck.  Specifically that there were certain points where the veins coming from the brain along the neck and upper chest were either restricting or blocking the flow of blood leading to a build-up of iron in the brain.  He called this condition CCSVI.''

Last week, Peter & I travelled to Dublin and I had a CCSVI Doppler Ultrasound. This was an ultrasound of the jugular veins in my neck to determine if I have CCSVI. The lady who did my ultrasound, who was from Canada!, has been trained according to Dr.Zamboni's protocol.  The blood flow in my left jugular vein is much worse than the right side. The blood flow is very sluggish and is not flowing to my heart at the proper rate, so my body has developed 3 collateral veins to try and bypass the flattened vein.  I was excited to learn this because they are offering treatment in Poland, Bulgaria, India, and Egypt.  It has been coined "The Liberation Treatment" or medically known as venous angioplasty.

I have been following MS patients blogs, and Youtube videos who have had the treatment.  The results they are reporting are amazing!  A large percentage of people report more energy, brain fog disappears, vision gets better, better circulation to hands and feet and numbness and tingling disappears.  The results are different for each individual, but nevertheless, this is very, very, exciting!!!

There is still much research to be done, but this is not holding back MS patients who are desparate to have a better quality of life.  We MS'ers are not saying this a cure, but we want a better quality of life!! And the operation is very,very low risk.

I'm willing to take the risk and have signed up on a waiting list for the clinic in Poland.  I'm anxiously waiting to hear when I can have the operation!! The sooner the better!!! I'm anxious to have an improvement in my health that will change our life positively!
